Schweizer Marcel AG (Riehen)

On May 1, 1986, Marcel Schweizer laid the foundation stone for his company at Bäumligasse 12 in Riehen.

The continuous positive development soon created numerous jobs and apprenticeships. In 1992, the first apprentice started his training. Since then, 14 young people have been trained as competent and successful gardeners in the field of gardening and landscaping.

In 1996 the sole proprietorship "Gartengestaltung Marcel Schweizer" was transformed into Marcel Schweizer AG, Gartengestaltung, Riehen.

In 1998 the workshop of Marcel Schweizer AG was moved from Bäumligasse 12 to the current location at Rüchligweg 65, Riehen.

On July 1, 2016, after successfully completing his training as a gardener specializing in gardening and landscaping, Manuel Schweizer joined Marcel Schweizer AG as equipment manager. He has been deputy managing director since January 1, 2018.

Marcel Schweizer AG has been rooted in Riehen for over 30 years. As an active member of the Gärtnermeisterverband beider Basel and the Gewerbeverband Basel-Stadt, the development of the green industry and the entire economy in the Basel region is an important concern of the company owner.
