Everything starts with an idea! Developing ideas is fun. Sure, it's most fun when they can be implemented. Developing ideas is an attitude. For us, it is not important whether they are all implemented or not. We put the unimplemented ideas on the compost, let them mature and use them as a breeding ground for new ideas. The idea of doing the Selvaggio Blu trek in Sardinia together was born four years ago. At the time, we were in southwestern Sardinia on our motorcycles, reading about the most difficult trek in Italy. "It sounds like a real challenge - just the thing for us," Marielle said with a smile. In addition to gardening, we ParadiesGaertners also share a love of biking, climbing and mountaineering. Just to be out in nature and actively experience it, There is nothing like "Selvaggio Blu". The name "Wild Blue" already says a lot and at the same time leaves everything open. The six-day trek leads along the steep coast from Santa Maria Navarrese along the Golfo di Orosei to Cala Gonone. In between are the wild natural cliffs with their dreamlike bays. Partly just above sea level and partly at an altitude of over 800 meters above sea level. Partly on shepherds' and charcoal burners' paths, partly on unpaved terrain, partly along exposed rocky outcrops, partly in the wild undergrowth of the Sardinian maquis, the path leads along the coast. We used the rope over twenty times, tying each other down the steep slopes and crossings. At the rappel point to the 70-meter overhang, we were also elegantly at a loss for words. It was all the more fun on the belay when everyone arrived. After the exhausting daily stages, jumping into the sea was like a week of wellness. We prepared dinner ourselves on the gas stove and celebrated the day with an evening gathering and fine Sardinian specialties. We spent the nights in a sleeping bag under the starry sky.
