A natural garden requires much less work. Flower meadows, for example, may be cut no more than twice. Lawns are different: they must be mowed at least every two weeks. A number of jobs are done by the animals themselves: Earthworms turn the leaves on the ground into nutrient-rich humus, ladybugs feast on the aphid colonies and, hidden in the foliage, slow worms eat the eggs of the not so welcome slugs.

The best thing is: For you as a garden owner, there is an incredible amount to see in this natural setting from spring to fall, a lot of living things to marvel at. Last but not least, in addition to the exciting animal spectacles, you can enjoy the vitamin- and mineral-rich fruits of the many plants.

But one thing a garden owner must bring along in any case: Patience. Because only patience brings a magnificent flower meadow next to roses.
