Masonry work

Historic masonry

We use regional materials for the construction. In doing so, we adapt to the existing shape of the wall.

This is especially true for renovation and additions to masonry:

• We orient ourselves to the existing
• We preserve the historical appearance
• We stop any existing process of decay

If possible, we use a sump lime mortar on historic buildings.

Dry stone walls

The quarry stones are dry stacked on top of each other.

This special process requires a lot of craftsmanship, but the wall should have a very high stability and at the same time look aesthetically pleasing.

Plastering

For plastering, we often use the self-mixed traditional swamp lime mortar. This is very relevant for plastering in the exterior and interior

Historical findings - for example paintings - must not be destroyed out of ignorance. Such must be recognized and documented.

Framing fields are supplemented or newly created in traditional craftsmanship, with appropriate material.

Sandstone work

In garden design we often use Rorschach sandstone for seating, flooring, fountains and stairs. A dry stone wall made of sandstone also has its own special charm.

Sandstone plays an important role in historic buildings. We renovate damaged sandstone, for example floor coverings, door and window jambs.
