Jardinerie Roy & Fils in Geneva: a family history spanning three generations Our history Jardinerie Roy was born of René and Denise Roy's shared passion for horticulture in the early 1970s. At the outset, the choice of plants was relatively limited: perennials, small shrubs and hedge plants made up the bulk of the products on offer.

The development of La Jardinerie Roy took off with the arrival of René and Denise's son, Rémy, who graduated from horticultural school in 1969. With his diploma in hand, he went straight into his parents' business. Between 1980 and 1990, he expanded the garden center's structure and supplies and, assisted by his wife Madeleine, who took care of the administrative side of the business, helped it to continue to grow.

Today, Madeleine and Rémy's sons Alexandre and Christophe have joined the management team. Alexandre is in charge of purchasing plants and organizing the nursery; Christophe is in charge of cultivating the production greenhouses.
