Andermatt Plattenbeläge + Ofenbau AG (Uerzlikon)

At the age of 23, Alois Andermatt decides to become self-employed and founds the sole proprietorship Alois Andermatt, Cheminée-, Ofenbau + Plattenbeläge on 1 April 1978.

Until the end of 1978 the company is located in Allenwinden, municipality of Baar. After founding a family and building his own home, the company moves to its domicile in Uerzlikon, municipality of Kappel am Albis.

While in the first years of business mainly stove and fireplace installations accounted for a considerable part of the work volume, in the 90s the majority of the work was in the field of slab and natural stone work. Especially commercial properties with large-scale slab work are executed. But also residential buildings with condominiums and rental apartments are booming.

A significant proportion of the work orders is carried out for the company Alfred Müller AG in Baar. The good cooperation is a benefit for both sides.

1986 a property adjacent to the residential building can be acquired, which is a great logistical advantage. The storage area can be enlarged and the workshop modernized.

In 2002 son David joins the company. After a successfully completed apprenticeship as a tiler and slab layer, he is looking forward to the new challenge.

In 2004 the sole proprietorship is transformed into Andermatt Plattenbeläge und Ofenbau AG.

In the year 2005 the 2nd son Roland joins the company as an apprenticed stoneworker. He is our specialist for all natural stone works.

In 2012 David Andermatt successfully completes the course of studies to become a federally certified tech. Kaufmann successfully.

The whole company is deliberately kept small (4-5 workers).

Today we are mainly active in the remodeling sector.

In order to achieve the best possible renovation time for the client, we personally schedule the working hours of the individual craftsmen. In addition, we carry out a large part of the preliminary work, such as demolition, masonry and plastering work with our own specialists.
