A design for a garden always happens in an interplay of different factors. For us, the architecture of the landscape is created by the particular circumstances of the site. Each site is characterized by its own unique character, proportions and orientation. That's why we don't start the design process with a blank sheet of paper, but first and foremost perceive the site and fathom its strengths and weaknesses. Only when the essential characteristics of a site have been evaluated do we begin to design with the involvement of the residents. The result is garden spaces that are clearly oriented, that respond to the conditions of the site with form and size, that are characterized by the interplay between views and vistas, between openness and protection, between tranquility and movement.
