The Hollenstein family has been successfully offering its plant and garden services on the Steineggstraße / Oberdorfstraße property since 1935. In 1935 Albert Hollenstein and his wife Lina started to establish a nursery. He was a specialist in alpine plants. However, vegetables and flower seedlings were also offered. In winter he sold seeds. Soon orders for cemetery and garden maintenance were added. Richard Hollenstein Sr. joined the company in 1957. Over the next few years, it grew into a medium-sized business with more than 20 employees. The Hollenstein company can rely on a large number of regular customers. In 2001, the company was transformed into a stock corporation with the new name "Hollenstein Lachen AG". The overall management was transferred to Richard Hollenstein-Blattmann jun. in the 3rd generation. Andrea Holdener-Hollenstein is responsible for the flower store and horticulture. Hollenstein Lachen AG currently employs around 30 people, including 2 apprentices, in the areas of horticulture and floristry.
