The relationship to nature and the joy of design have been an important part of my life since childhood. I studied landscape architecture with a focus on ecology at the University of Applied Sciences in Rapperswil. This was followed by five years of professional experience in practical horticulture, maintenance and office work.

Further knowledge about wild plants gives me the experiences in the show garden, the technical literature and the observations in nature. On walks and hikes all over Switzerland I always discover new landscapes and plant communities. Given the image of the wild occurrence, it is always amazing how the plants show a different face in the nutritious garden soil or in the low-competition gravel garden.

Plants have been my passion since I learned to be a gardener. I completed my training as a pot plant and cut flower gardener at the Oeschberg Horticultural School, where I acquired a wide range of specialist knowledge.

When after 8 years I got the opportunity to work in a perennial nursery in Mühleberg, my interest in these perennial and extremely interesting plants began. For over 15 years I was able to gain experience in larger garden centers in the perennial area; with purchasing, managing the perennial department, customer service and support. Perennials are extremely hardy plants and the uses are vast; whether planted in pots, troughs, flat roofs and gardens.
