In 1954 Bernhard Baumberger sen. founded a gardening company with the support of his wife Nelly in Münchenwiler, Bern. Initially a 1-man business, new employees were soon hired.
From 1980 onwards, Bernhard Baumberger Jr. also worked in his father's company. During this time, he trained to become a master gardener at the Oeschberg BE horticultural school.
In 1994, the senior boss handed over the reins to his son. From then on, the company was called Baumberger & Sohn.
In December 2003, the company was certified according to the ISO 9001 standard. Since January 1, 2004, the old company has continued to operate with the same employees as a stock corporation and is now called Baumberger AG. The company has been training apprentices since 1985. At present there are two.
