Firmly rooted, passionate and with a long tradition, we have been cultivating, caring for and designing gardens in and around the Bern region for over 100 years.

After three generations of the Kuster family, Simon and Martina Hugi took over the company Kuster Gärten AG in 2010

Our more than 35 employees are committed to your garden projects with great enthusiasm. Good junior staff is important to us, which is why we offer our trainees a comprehensive training program

In 1911 Rudolf Kuster laid the foundation for the nursery by building the first greenhouse, a tool shed and some cooling frames. At that time, the staff consisted of three gardeners and one apprentice

1943 Son Rudolf Kuster junior acquires the family business with his wife Frieda, née Minder. During the Second World War, production remained focused on vegetable growing. In addition, the department of horticulture and garden modification was established

1976 Son Hans Kuster and his wife Elisabeth took over the business. The new flower store sells seedlings as well as local seasonal plants, floristry and boutique items. In addition, the horticulture department is constantly expanded

2010 Simon and Martina Hugi take over the management of Kuster Gärten AG and continue to run it with currently 25 employees, including 6 apprentices. The main areas of operation are new construction, minor to major alterations, garden maintenance and cemetery work

2011 The 100th anniversary of Kuster Gärten AG was celebrated with an open day

2012 Simon and Martina Hugi acquire the last block of shares and become the sole business owners of Kuster Gärten AG
